Role Summary

We are looking for a Vendor Development Engineer to identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors for procurement and manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering background and experience in vendor management within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new vendors for raw materials and manufacturing components.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely material supply.
• Work closely with purchase, production, and quality teams.
• Conduct vendor audits and support continuous vendor improvement.
• Maintain vendor records, documentation, and development reports.
• Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and supplier performance.

Required Skills

• DME / BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Vendor Development or Procurement.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and forging industry processes.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
