Role Summary

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee daily forging operations, manage shop floor activities, and ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of forging processes and strong team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production schedules as per targets.
• Monitor forging operations including heating, hammering/pressing, and trimming.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
• Minimize downtime and improve production efficiency.
• Supervise operators, helpers, and furnace staff.
• Allocate work shifts and maintain workforce discipline.
• Ensure proper operation of forging equipment such as hammers, presses, and furnaces.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure products meet specifications.
• Reduce rejection and rework through effective process control.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive maintenance and machine breakdowns.
• Prepare production reports, shift logs, downtime records, and monitor raw material usage.

Required Skills

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a Forging Industry.
• Strong knowledge of open-die and closed-die forging processes.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability on the shop floor.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP systems).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
