Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sliding Head CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for Swiss-type / Sliding Head machines. The ideal candidate should have strong programming expertise, precision machining knowledge, and experience working with high-accuracy components in industries such as medical, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Swiss-type / Sliding Head machines.
• Develop machining strategies to achieve maximum productivity and quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
• Perform program validation, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.
• Support machine setup, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain machining accuracy while achieving micron-level tolerances.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Swiss-type / Sliding Head CNC machines.
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software.
• Experience with CAM software such as Esprit, PartMaker, or similar.
• Understanding of multi-axis machining operations.
• Knowledge of precision machining and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
• Familiarity with tooling, carbide inserts, drills, reamers, and cutting tools.
• Experience with bar feeders and automation systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in medical, aerospace, automotive, or precision component manufacturing is preferred.
