Key Responsibilties : 
 

Conduct analysis and testing on metals and alloys to assess physical and mechanical properties (e.g. hardness, tensile strength, grain structure).
Support heat treatment, forging, casting, and other metallurgical processes.
Evaluate material behavior under different environments and working conditions (e.g. corrosion, stress, fatigue).
Work on material selection for components based on mechanical and chemical requirements.
Investigate material failures, defects, or non-conformities and prepare failure analysis reports.
Use microscopy (optical, SEM), spectroscopy, hardness testers, and tensile testers for material evaluations.
Collaborate with quality control, production, R&D, and design teams to ensure metallurgical integrity in manufacturing.
Develop and update material testing procedures and specifications.
Monitor and improve material yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
