JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist in conducting metallurgical tests on cast iron, steel, and other casting materials.
Prepare casting samples and test specimens for laboratory analysis.
Perform hardness testing using Brinell, Rockwell, or Vickers hardness testers.
Assist in spectrometer testing for chemical composition analysis.
Support microstructure analysis using a metallurgical microscope.
Assist in tensile testing and other mechanical property tests, as required.
Check and record test results, including hardness, chemical composition, and microstructure observations.
Maintain laboratory records, inspection reports, and test certificates.
Assist in sand testing, if applicable, including moisture content, permeability, and strength tests.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure proper handling of testing equipment.
Follow safety procedures and quality standards such as ISO 9001.
Coordinate with the Quality Control and Production departments regarding test results and casting quality.
